Founded by Mr. Carl CHOI and Mr. John KOLJONEN in 2003, the Hong Kong Festival Youth Wind Orchestra (HKFYWO) provides a forum for young musicians in which to learn, share, utilize hard-won musical prowess, and foster creativity.

 

By encouraging young, vibrant, talented students to co-operate with others having similar aspirations, we "graduate" lifetime interests in music, and nurture our musical leaders of tomorrow.

 

In 2008, the FESTIVAL YOUTH (Orchestra B) was established to encourage more and younger students to join the big family. Providing exciting musical opportunities at local and international venues, HKFYWO is dedicated to collaborating with local young musicians and composers, providing a platform for performances and showcasing new compositions.

 

Currently, the Music Director of the HKFYWO is Mr. Keith CHEUNG.
